Dainton Elms Holiday Home is just outside Ipplepen, a village equidistant from the beautiful Devon beaches of the English Riviera and the beautiful countryside of Dartmoor National Park. A relaxing Devon holiday home that sleeps six people in three bedrooms. Outside we have a large garden and tranquil views. A host of amenities within walking distance include a village shop, pubs, Dainton Golf Club (no membership required), and the friendly Wellington Inn, whose Sunday carvery is worth booking in advance to ensure you don’t miss out.
We can give you plenty of reasons why Dainton Elms Holiday Home is such a great place to stay while you’re in Devon. It’s peaceful, being away from busy roads. Although off the typical tourist trail, Ipplepen is still convenient for beaches and moors. You’re less than five miles from Totnes, Six miles from Paignton, ten miles from Dartmoor National Park, and three miles from the supermarkets, shops and other amenities of Newton Abbot.
Ipplepen is pretty, with views of lush rolling countryside, beautiful footpaths and places to ride your bike.
You’ll certainly want to spend time at the beach, no matter what season you visit. Paignton is a family favourite for the beach, the beachfront park, pier, and plentiful ice-cream shops. You’ll be amazed at how much value a simple bucket and line will give – a few pounds will keep the kids happily crabbing off the harbour walls for hours. Torquay is a top all-weather day-out. When it’s sunny, you can walk along the promenade, take a turn on the big wheel, and sun yourself on the sand. If it’s raining, visit the museum or Dinosaur World, or treat yourself to a delicious seafront seafood meal. Babbacombe, Brixham, Anstey’s Cove, Broadsands, and Ness Cove are other local beaches to visit.
